Baja California is set in the far northeast of México. Its shores are washed by the Pacific Ocean (to the west) and by the Sea of Cortéz (to the east). It borders on Sonora to the northeast, Baja California Sur to the south and the North American state of California to the north.

This unique region is one of the most interesting and diverse geographical areas of the world! The peninsula is home to some of the earth's most beautiful deserts, along with semi-tropical and mountainous regions, pine forests, and hundreds of miles of untouched beaches and coastline. The landscapes are unusual, since the blue shades of the sea contrast with the desert and its steeply sloping mountain ranges covered with cactus. This strip of land contains fertile valleys and gorgeous beaches; its terrestrial and marine life is extremely varied while its wines and seafood are among the best in the country.

Baja California has a population of approximately 2,487,367 inhabitants. This state has 4 municipalities; The biggest is Ensenada, with an area of more than 51,000 sq. km (19,690 sq. mi.). The total area of the Baja California state is 70,113 sq. km (27,070 sq. mi.), not including the insular territory.

The Rosarito-Ensenada corridor enjoys Mediterranean weather year round, not exceeding 85 F and seldom less than 55 F. In the San Pedro Martir Mountains, the highest area of the state, the climate is mild in the summer and cold in the winter, with snow in the area of the astronomic observatory.
In the desert and sandy zones to the south of Rosarito, the climate is very dry, extremely hot in summer, and has a large temperature difference between day and night.

Additionally, the region offers plenty of eco-tourism activities, surfing, fishing, golfing and excellent seafood.

Baja borders the State of California and San Diego is just a 30-minute to 1-hour drive away.
You can drive to the United States for the day and be home for dinner.
Baja California offers the best of both worlds!
