Driving in Mexico
One thing foreigners who enjoy retirement living in Mexico find hard to get used to when moving to Mexico is transport. Baja Relocation will supply you with valuable information on everything from commuting by auto, bus or taxi to getting a driver's license.

Auto insurance in Mexico
Under Mexican law U.S. insurance is not recognized by the state, therefore it is imperative if you're bringing your vehicle to Mexico that you obtain Mexican auto insurance. We will help you find a reliable company.

The Transpeninsular Highway
The highway between the northern and southern states of the Baja California peninsula.

Fuel in Mexico
The nationally owned "Petroleos Mexicanos" (Pemex), is the only formal seller of fuel in the Baja.

Highway signs in Mexico
With the exception of the Tijuana-Ensenada toll road, all non-symbolic highway signs are in Spanish.

Distances in the Baja
You should not associate these distances with the time required to drive between the points on the highway.
Road conditions in some places limit speeds to well below what might be expected on many two-lane highways
in the U.S.
